Fenceline ("we," "us," or "our") provides continuous thermal monitoring services for oil and gas infrastructure. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our services, visit our website at fenceline.io, use our mobile app, or receive communications from us, including SMS alerts and push notifications.
Information you provide:
- Contact information (name, email, phone number)
- Company and facility details
- Service agreement and billing information
- SMS opt-in consent and communication preferences
Information collected automatically:
- Thermal camera data from deployed monitoring equipment
- Detection event data (timestamps, confidence scores, snapshots)
- System performance and bandwidth metrics
- Website usage data via standard analytics
From the mobile app:
- Device location — with your permission, used on your device to show your position and heading relative to monitored sites on the map. Your location is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
- Push notification device tokens — stored so we can deliver leak detection and system alerts to your device
- Deliver and operate our thermal monitoring service
- Send leak detection alerts, system status notifications, and operational updates via SMS, email, mobile push notification, or dashboard
- Maintain and improve detection accuracy
- Provide customer support and service communications
- Fulfill our contractual obligations under your service agreement
When you opt in to SMS alerts, we use your phone number solely to send service-related messages including leak detection alerts, system status updates, daily summaries, and maintenance notices.
We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. Your phone number is used exclusively for Fenceline service communications.
You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on system events at your monitored facilities.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: Third parties that help us deliver our service (cloud hosting, SMS delivery via Twilio, email delivery, push notification delivery via Apple, authentication, analytics) under strict confidentiality agreements. These providers are required to protect your information to at least the same standard described in this policy and may not use it for any other purpose.
- Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, or legal process
- Safety: When necessary to protect the safety of persons or property, including emergency response to detected leaks
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission, secure cloud infrastructure, and access controls. Camera feeds and detection data are transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in secured environments.
We retain your information for the duration of your service agreement and for a reasonable period thereafter as needed for legal, operational, or audit purposes. Detection event data (snapshots, clips, metadata) is retained according to the terms of your service agreement. You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting us.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through our service dashboard. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
